I was initially in contact with Vincent at MyTEFL. He offered customer service that hit home. With how he responded to my initial email and considering that he offered me what I needed so that I could get started, I am grateful I chose MyTEFL. Regarding the reading material, I was initially expected that I would have to watch videos, but upon paying, I found that it was all in written form, which worked out well for me because everything was succinct and well-thought out. I'm now ready to move to Chengdu China!

The subject matter is thorough and well formatted. The regular use of short review quizzes is good for the student to keep on top of each unit of study.
As an inexperienced on-line learner, the course built my self confidence.
The presentation of teaching strategies is solid and sensible. However I suspect someone new to teaching might feel more reassured with some visual examples to illustrate the concepts. In my case this was not necessary as I am an experienced teacher, in fact I have mentored and tutored many first year placements and student teachers. This is their most significant field of self doubt. Usually the content is their strength.
As I said this course gave some very succinct and helpful advice on teaching strategies.

The 140-Hour program through myTEFL was extremely thorough and well worth the (rather affordable) cost. Throughout the course, I was highly impressed with how up-to-date course content was as it was easy to see that the course is consistently being improved upon. The only thing I would've enjoyed seeing a bit more of is video content. As someone who learns best by witnessing things firsthand, I would have loved to watch the teaching methods in action. I also wish there was a way I could look back at this course throughout my first months teaching (it expires 180 days after you gain your certification), but the built-in library offers a plethora of resources to download to bring with you into your budding career.

Overall, I loved taking this course and found myself spending hours going through modules before even realizing I'd spent so much time learning. If you are on the fence about going through with a TEFL certification, I highly recommend myTEFL not only for their courses, but also for their aid in job searching as well.

After much research, I decided to give myTEFL 120 hour course a try and I'm glad I did! UI is clean and content/quizzes are very engaging and relevant to all levels of experience. I plan to teach English for the first timr in Japan but will start online teaching for now due to Covid-19. I feel like this course gave me confidence to pursue this goal. Customer service is AMAZING. It's also great to be able to refer back to course material after finishing upon request. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to teach English for the first time or veterans as a refresher.

The small quizzes interspersed throughout the course kept me engaged and made it easier to complete each section in bite-size pieces. Overall, the content was relevant and I ended up coming back to reference it when I was working on my first lesson plan. I chose myTEFL based on the quality and quantity of reviews I found online, and I was not disappointed! I enjoyed the progression of lessons and the assessments to make sure I grasped the concepts. I have done 120 hours course with mytefl. Each of courses were interesting topics and informative to learn. Each topics were only few pages to read and there was test right after you read the topic so it was able to test yourself with understanding of the topic.
Plus, if there is any issues or questions, there is always your tutor to ask and my tutor was amazing, very helpful and patient explaining my questions. I will recommend any of you who are interested in building up the resume or willing to teach English! You will gain lots of information and confidence!
