About Program
Expect to be deeply engaged with your studies and host culture. Site visits within Florence and field trips throughout Italy and beyond are integral to the academic program, and your homestay will round out both your personal and educational experience. Consider supplementing your academic program with one of over 50 internship opportunities.
The SU Florence program features specialized programs in architecture (for undergraduates and graduates), intensive Italian language, design, studio arts, and engineering. A cluster of courses focusing on sustainability studies is also available, as is a graduate program in Renaissance art.
Students are encouraged to enroll in fall, spring, or summer semesters! During the Florence Summer Session, students enroll in 3-9 credits.
Internships are also available for 1-3 credits in a variety of fields. In fall and spring, students must be enrolled in the semester program in order to take part in an internship.
